and then there's the usual/inevitable mis-use of 'your' and 'you're'.

do these kindle authors really not care?

are these typos and grammatical errors relics of some digital/automated transcription/spell-checking process?

if i were the author and got caught by readers with blatant/obvious grammatical errors like these, i'd be embarrassed as hell. you want me to think you're a good writer, yes?

the good thing about digital is that it's easy to replace a bad copy (of a book, or a web page) with a good (better/edited) copy... which makes the number of errors in this one inexcusable. given the ease with which kindle book authors can generate updated/edited versions of their books, and the ability for readers to comment on and highlight the errors they find therein... wouldn't you expect just a little more diligence in the editing department?

mr. kassell - you don't look in the mirror before you go out? you didn't proof read your book before you started selling it? you took my money. please go spend some on an editor. your book will only get better. i promise.

p.s.: think I'm just being snippy? here are a few more... at this rate, I'll never get through the book! 8-)

I used to not really be interested in crime thriller novels but after reading this one, I've changed my opinion! I couldn't put it down! From the beginning I was sucked into the storyline. I absolutely can't wait for the next one to come out!!
The sequel can't get here fast enough. The Last Man Out is a page turner full of twist and turns. I usually take my time reading a book, but I found this novel hard to put down. I give this book two thumbs up!
I couldn't stop reading this book! From the first page to the last, the main character is confronted with imperilment and mysteries that kept me glued to my iPad screen. The plot is totally believable and captivating. Can't wait to read Kassel's next John Carter novel.
Last Man Out is a great read. Good story line and easy to follow. One of those books you get wrapped in and before you know it it's 2 a.m. Hard to believe this is the authors first novel. Let's hope there are more to follow.
The Last Man Out is an exciting and unique kind of thriller. Kassel has a particular descriptive style that I found to be exceptional. It sets his storytelling apart from other action/mystery authors in the thriller genre. The story develops into a fast paced and fun read with plenty of intriguing twists. I can't wait for the next book in the series.
Last Man is a real thriller. A must read for action readers. It is hard to believe that this is the author's first book. I wish him much success and look forward to other books in the series.
Last Man kept me turning pages anxious to learn who John Carter really is. The book is a thrill ride and well worth the sleep I lost. It has tricky twists and is well written. I was left wanting more and am looking forward to book #2. I hope this is the first of many. Great book!
