I enjoyed this novvel because it placed the Atlllanteans in two special places.
1.) The present rather than the past. Guarded by Poseidon the Seven Isles are protected under His Dome in order to facilitate their task of protecting Humanity from things Arcane which have been driven underground so Humanity recalls them in old stories. But things suddenly change and they are now among us-twisting our rational thought.
2.) There was a vague assumption that Atlantis totally fell because of what they themselves did. Day posit's a Cataclysm that sseems to have happened because outside forces. The Ancient Atlanteans sent strong leaders into the world with the directive to gain the high ground, survive and begin assisting the remnants of humanity. A God protected the Home Isles when they sank beneath the Ocean and has guarded them ever since. In return the Warriors of Atlantis protect humanity from evil too strong to be resisted.
A Good Read
The main reason I got this book was because it was a paranormal romance and I am a sucker for those. I like how this one wasn't about the usual paranormal stuff. It did have Vampires(and how vampires should be not sparkling or eating animals)shape shifters.

I like how the main characters are of course a human and an atlantian. The story is told between Riley and Colan. They story takes off right from the first chapter and engrosses you, Well it did to me anyway.

The only con I have is the ending of the book it seemed a little rushed to me. But the plot, the battles, the romance and of course Poseidon make for a really good book. There are other books in this series so if you want more of them you get a sneak peak in other books.

Good read worth checking out.
With this romantic paranormal action packed novel you have the chance to be introduced to The Warriors of Posideon. Prince Colin has returned to Atlantis after 7 years of captivity to find his soul meld mate Riley. Riley is far different from the woman of Atlantis for one has a gift no one has seen in or heard of in 1000 years. Finding love is never that easy.
This is fun. Some of the book is like stepping stones so you know what comes next and yet you turn around and get surprised. I enjoy's. Day's writing style and look forward to the next book.
This is my first book by this author and I Loved it! The plot is new and Most Excellent! You will laugh and love all the characters plus the audio book is in the romance package. It's wonderful!
Conlan, the prince of Atlantis was a prisoner for seven years. He was tortured extensively by the queen vampire. In his absence a atlanteans decided he should be prince and stole Poseidon's trident to earth. When Conlan is released from his prision he goes after the trident to ascend to the throne. Once he emerges from the water he sees a gorgeous Riley Dawson facing off vampires. Conlan jumps into save her, but they end up helping each other. Riley has a rare empathy gift scared to atlanteans . Conlan and his seven warriors work with Riley to stop the vampires and get the trident back.

Thoughts
This is the first book in a long time that elicited such emotion from the pages to me. I absolutely loved this unique series. My only regret is that I didn't read it sooner. The pace is fast which I like. The romance and combustible energy between Riley and Conlan is very well written. I was sucked in from page one. I love that about a book. I am very interested in the rest of the series and learning more of the characters presented in this book. I can't compare this book to any other, fantastically creative. Well done!
This is a new series for me and I enjoyed this first book. It was interesting to meet the main characters of this story. It slowly entrapped me in it's story line and the characters. I didn't realize how wrapped up in the book until I was almost done. Good story line and character development .
